ASTRA

noun  — as.tra
Latin; from Ancient Greek ástron
  1. (poetic) a star or constellation
  2. fixed point in the night sky that sends out it’s own light
  3. luminous celestial body held together by it’s own gravity that radiates energy generated by nuclear reaction in its interior in which the outflow of energy to the surface is perfectly balanced by inward-directed gravitation forces.

The concept of ASTRA is something that can be found in all of us.  We are a bit magical. Just like a star, our presence changes the the world around us, hopefully for the better. And surrounding forces literally form and shapes us. The perfect balance of these opposing forces enables us to illuminate our worlds.

Finding that balance between the internal and external worlds is, for many leaders, a life’s work. At a minimum, we are all leaders of our own lives, creating something as we go.  Many of us take on additional leadership roles within our organizations, communities and families. When we work intentionally with our own uniqueness we create a personal and lasting legacy. We also illuminate the path for those around us.  Integrated leaders cultivate a balance of theory, skill, behavior and awareness. They have learned that a light shines brightest from it’s center point and they commit to practice living in that space daily.

The materials I offer here support leaders of all kinds in their efforts to integrate themselves, to find alignment between their goals and the needs of those around them and to affect meaningful change.

Welcome to ASTRA.
